odd day today...left Grass Range bright and early so my driver could attend worship services in Roundup and I could walk for a few hours...as it turned out route 87 was closed due to a fire so I was routed to route 12...in retrospect I should have just fired up the generator and watched football...the road was scenic but very narrow with no shoulder and very steep ditch banks, with all the traffic re-routed I spent half of the 7.7 miles and 14,422 steps standing on the ditch bank waiting for vehicles to pass!!!...on one occasion one motorist almost hit me as they decided to pass all the slow traffic, they most assuredly were saluted, I am sure to no avail on my part as a motorist that stupid would NOT be looking in the rear-view mirror!!!...the smoke was thick which gave the landscape the look of the Moreno Valley in Riverside County, California on a GOOD day!!!...on to Billings, after locating the Cummins repair shop we landed in an RV park for the night, caught the last half of the Broncos game and the night game, GO RAVENS!!!...Monday will see the motor home in the shop getting a seal replaced and the driver and the walker running errands then if all goes well back on the road on route 87 south of Roundup, my fingers are crossed!!!...cheers
