a day of adventures!!!...made 24 miles even with 45,240 steps...findings for the day: 2 dimes, 1 rather bent penny, 1 quarter, 1 blue (yuck!!!) super ball AND a "Stiffy" (red triangular flag on the end of a fiberglass pole used on dune buggies)...we managed (to the chagrin of my driver!!!) to go through two constructions zones AND all the way through Billings...this was DEFINITELY out of her comfort zone, HOWEVER she did a fine job!!!...thanks Mom!!!...still having some electrical issues with the Jeep powering the safety light and blowing fuses, where are Mike 'n the mechanics from Family Auto in Bountiful, Utah when I could REALLY use them!?!?!?...good weather today, high 70's with clear skies...now watching Thursday football awaiting my pizza!!!...pick it up again tomorrow on Old Highway 87 on the way to Hardin, MT and beyond...cheers!!!
Out of my comfort Zone is a mild way to say it. But I made it Yeay Gramma. The most exciting part was when Art found a nice porta potty ( probably for the construction workers). And guided me to it. I wanted to park on the shoulder and scramble down the different graded levels to the field . You could see the tracks in the sand gravel and very dry field grass where some of the workers woukd just barrel down with their big trucks. Well Art wanted me to do the same thing. MOM you have a four wheel drive, if you go down on an angle you will be FINE. What an adventure! I did bump and tip and got down to the middle level. That was enough for me as I was within walking distance. It was a great facility, brand new and very clean, even had hand sanitizer. Wow. Back to the jeep, now to get back to the road. Geeks ! With Arts direction and encouragement wheee. Down for a bit until I saw a hill less big and gun it up and over. All the way, Art giving me all kinds of encouragement from a distance. How exhilarating. He reminded me of the time I climbed Chapmans tower. Well,I was a lot younger then, but GO GRANNY GO,! I did it. After that going thro the traffic was a piece of cake, all level ground, until the sun went down and then I had to quit. What an awesome journey.
