through rain, snow, sleet and hail!!!...ok MAYBE just a wee bit of rain, lots of wind and somehow the UPGRADES seemed waaaaaaay longer and steeper then the downgrades!!!...17.7 miles (haven't looked up the klic converter yet, eh!?) in just under (30 seconds!!!) 5 3/4 hours...I seem to recall walking my entire life but the last two days is NOTHING like I have experienced before...when my back surgeon said, " no more running, no more biking but you can walk all you like " I figured how hard can it be!?!?!?, some is good MORE is better!!!...the entire experience is taking me AND my feet out of my comfort zone (not a bad thing!!!)...right now working out the shoe/sock thing...I appreciate all your support and a special thanks to the drivers who move over a bit for this walker and the many cyclists out there, a little courtesy goes a long way...and here I thought I was the ONLY one to do that!!!...a little tap on the horn after they have passed the pilot car is kinda cool as well...see ya'll down the road!!!

My thoughts are with you. If the only thing you have to worry about is rain and socks you are blessed!!

When we started from the Olympic rings in Whistler my instructions were to make my way to hwy 99and wait, and wait and wait Lol. I wondered why it was taking so long so I resorted to the modern technology of Walky talky and called for Arts position. He named off a few cross streets, but I kept asking him if he had passed Whistler Village yet. He was leaving from the Upper village. The Walky was so full of static I could only hear every third worn so I figured he might not be able to either. It is supposed to have a reach of 22 miles. We could not be that far apart! LOL. I kept repeating, pass the Whistler Village entrance, I am just ahead of that. More static, then finally turn around and head for Pemberton. I had to get him to repeat that at least three times before I was ready to go backwards but I finally did and found them. Brave just turned 16 my great granndson had decided to walk with his Grampa instead of going on the peak tp peak adventure. You are a great trouper Chance, and I love you . Onward and upward. LOL. Meet you on the trail
