we managed 24.3 miles with 45,513 steps...findings for the day: 1 CD case with several discs...saw deer and antelope running from the hunters, heard several gun shots as it is hunting season here...it drizzled the better part of the day, just enough to be irritating and cold but not enough to stop walking...walked right to the motor home doorstep...saw lots of geese heading east and south, same as me, they appeared to be moving MUCH faster than "the walker"!!!...cheers!!!

Well if I have my druthers it is definitely not to travel on rainy days. Art asked me if I did not like getting wet. No, I told him, I do not mind water on my head at all, it makes my hair curly LOL. The problem is my vision, I cannot see behind me and and it is even worse if there is fog.

Now today was a different story, bright and sunny, cold and windy, yes, but I could see much farther down the road. It seems like every county has its own road work plan and this one was back to very narrow shoulders and not as any stopping places, but the visibility so much better. This is Wed I am talking about. Tomorrow, Thursday, we move again, down to another small town.
I do not know if anyone ever reads my comments. Feel free to make comments yourselves if you like.
Yesterday I had a very pleasant surprise. On one stretch of the road and while it was NOT raining. A car pulled over on the other side and it was sis Harker who I had met on Sunday at church. They have only one more week and their Mission here is completed. She wanted to say Goodbye to me and how nice it was to meet me and hear all about Arts walk of life. What a pleasant diversion.
