Here we have the consummate techno-rube getting ready to blog his way from Whistler BC to Key West FL...the "web-master" has been kind enough to teach me how to access this so I can keep ya'll informed as to what is going on...as they used to say on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson "More to Come"!!!

The trip from horseshoe Bay was quite different from the rest of the earlier travels, which I did comment on but seems to have disappeared. Hwy one is taboo for walkers so we had to drop down to marine drive. That was fun because I had to follow close behind, all the way to West Van on this narrow, winding, very scenic road. Many times I would collect a following and search for someone's wider drive way to pull along side and let the traffic by. Art's preference, of course, was to walk on the left side, facing traffic, but sometimes all he had to walk on was the side of a rock wall and would have to come over to my side. Other times I was driving along another, shorter rock wall with nothing but ocean on the other side. Then no cars could pass me by until we reached another driveway. Blinking lights and huge sign on the back along with jazzed lights going and Art all dresses in yellow with fluorescent stripes.
After the slow walk home, we went over to my grandson Victor and Ayako' home but if any of you are on Facebook you will already have seen the group, including Gramma Cathy and their two kids sitting around having fun as she took the picture and posted it right away. LOL. Modern technology. My but those stuffed Portobello' s were delicious.
Sunday was my day off to go to church and then to visit my friend who I met in Nelson but is now going to sign language training in Vancouver. She has two more weeks of exams to finish before this part of the course is over .Hang in there Julie, younwill do great!
Now with traveling all on city sidewalks, the prudent thing would be to leave off the Pilot car as Art had sidewalks to walk on and after all we were only one not one hundred with a police guard along. No flashing lights for us this time, just walk, phone and pick up.
Today Art had a totally different idea. I drove him to Lonsdale Quay and he took the seabus and sky train to his last stop and then later tonight I once again picked him up at the sea bus, a totally different trip. Art had made it all the way out to Langley, and I did chores shopping etc back at the RV. Tomorrow we move to Aldergrove.f0235
